About us

The Aviation Exposure Mentoring Program (AEMP) is a unified effort of Aviation Professionals and Enthusiats from the various career fields that exist in aviation. Our love for aviation compels us to ensure that teen agers and young adults are exposed to as many of the career paths that aviation offers.  We believe the best approach to exposure is sharing our knowledge and experience via networking with community organizations that have the same passion as we do. We have committed to this service and calling with the hope that others will follow behind us and will also pass their knowledge and experience to those that will come after them.

The carrer paths available in aviation are numerous and includes pilots, mechanics, air traffic controllers, flight attendants, aircraft dispatchers, flight followers, aviation safety inspectors, airport inspectors, tsa inspectors, federal air marshalls, engineers, and several others. These carrers pay very well and with the proper mentoring can become a reality for those wishing to pursue aviation as a way of life.

AEMP consists of flying the Microsoft Flight Simulator, attending basic ground school lessons, participation in airport visits, air traffic control tower visits, attending presentations conducted by aviaion professionals, participating in airline maintenance and operations facility visits, participating in tours of aviation museuems, such as the Tuskeegee Airman Musuem in Detroit, MI, and having a personal mentor assigned if requested.
